01 — About Apex

The Independent Authority on Project Quality

Apex Inspection Authority is a South African independent third-party inspection, QA/QC management and ISO 9001 consulting company. We verify welding, coating, structural and piping work against the governing codes — and we put it in writing.

We hold no stake in the contractor, the supplier or the schedule. Our findings answer to one thing only: the standard. Every inspection is performed by credentialed personnel, recorded against an approved Inspection and Test Plan, and closed out with traceable documentation.

The Apex Operating Rule

“If it isn’t recorded, it didn’t happen.”

That rule governs every site visit, every weld witnessed, every coating measured. The result: a project record your auditors, your client and your insurers can rely on.

Clients don’t pay us for opinions. They pay us for verified evidence their project can stand on — documented, indexed, defensible.

04 — Methodology

The Apex Process

Five steps. Each one closes with a named, auditable output.

  1. Client Briefing

We define what must be verified, against which codes, at what hold and witness points — before anyone mobilises.

    Inspection Scope & Strategy
  2. ITP Development

An Inspection and Test Plan structured around your specification, signed off by all parties.

    Approved ITP
  3. Inspection Deployment

Credentialed inspectors on site or in the workshop, executing the ITP and recording every intervention.

    Daily Reports & Inspection Records
  4. NCR Management

Non-conformances raised, tracked and verified through to close-out — with the evidence attached.

    NCR Register, Closed Out
  5. Records Handover

The complete, indexed quality record — compiled, reviewed and handed over as a single defensible pack.

    Final Quality Data Book

Every Apex engagement closes with a complete, traceable documentation pack — your audit trail, delivered.
